Berkeley Plantation

Virginia's most historic plantation and site of the first official Thanksgiving in 1619. Birthplace of Benjamin Harrison V, signer of the Declaration of Independence and 9th U. S. President William Henry Harrison, whose grandson was our 23rd president. Bugle call "Taps" was composed here in 1862 at the Civil War headquarters of General McClellan and 140,000 Union troops. Superbly furnished 1726 mansion. Terraced boxwood and flower gardens offer breathtaking vistas of the James River.

Informative Meetings

Bi-monthly meetings conveniently located at the Sheraton West, 6624 West Broad Street. These are generally scheduled between 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., and cost $20.00 per Member and $30.00 non-members, which includes a continental breakfast. Subjects relating to payroll, taxes, or personnel matters are presented by specialists in those areas.

Published quarterly, contains national legislative updates as well as articles and other information of interest to local members.

The Richmond Chapter covers a large geographic region including almost all of the State of Virginia except extreme Northern Virginia above Fredericksburg. Ours is one of three chapters serving Payroll Professionals in the state of Virginia.

Participation in National Payroll Week

The Richmond Chapter members hold celebrations at their companies. Additionally, the Chapter plans activities for the entire chapter to acknowledge the role of the Payroll Professional, such as a Braves game and a day at the Dinwiddie raceway.
