Historic Jamestown

Costumed craftsmen demonstrate the art of glassblowing, attempted at Jamestown in 1608, thus becoming America's first industry. Historic Jamestowne is jointly administered by the National Park Service and the Association for the Preservation of Virginia Antiquities and preserves the site of the first permanent English speaking settlement in North America.

Our Seventh Annual Virginia Statewide Conference was held at the Omni in Charlottesville, Virginia, September 27-28, 2007.

Our Eighth Annual Virginia Statewide Conference is scheduled for October 16-17, 2008 at the Williamsburg Marriott, Williamsburg, Virginia.

Presented by American Payroll Association Chapters of Richmond and Hampton Roads

The conference offers attendees the chance to:

  • Meet vendors and learn about new products and services they offer
  • Attend discussions focused on payroll issues
  • Hear Speakers offering insight into payroll issues
  • Network with other payroll professionals


The Thursday night social promises to again be a big hit. We will have a DJ to trip the light fantastic again this year and a comedian, Dave Cooper, will be performing for two shows.

The conference will be raising money for St. Jude's. Leslie Foster will be donating a quilt for a raffle.

Each year the conference proudly announces one special individual as the Virginia Payroll Professional of the year. Find the information for nominating a deserving individual here . Nomination close September 18, 2008.

WARM UP REGISTRATION FEE: $225.00 (member) $275 (non-member) MUST BE POSTMARKED BY 08/08/08

GAME TIME REGISTRATION FEE: $275.00 (member) $325.00 (non-member) MUST BE POSTMARKED BY 09/12/08.

Member refers to Local Chapter Membership NOT NATIONAL. CHAPTER MEMBERSHIP WILL BE VERIFIED.

Registration fees are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, you can send a replacement. Please notify us if this should be necessary.

The Marriott Williamsburg has provided special conference rates for attendees of $129.00 plus taxes for non-government and $70.00 for government.
