Sherwood Forest Plantation

This c. 1730s house was the home of 10th President, John Tyler from 1842 until his death in 1862. Continuously owned by the Tyler family since 1842, the grandson and family of President Tyler reside and maintain Sherwood Forest today.
 
 

Payroll News Concerning the Social Security Administration

The Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 strengthened the protection and integrity of Social Security numbers. Provisions of that law, which became effective December 17, 2005, include:
  • Expanded and more stringent verification of birth records;
  • Stricter requirements for providing identity and immigration status;
  • Limits on replacement cards.


    • The same law will require states to stop using Social security numbers on driver’s licenses. SSA has instituted multiple measures to ensure the safety of your Social Security number and continue to look at more and better ways to safeguard your number.
